A segment on MARBLE activities aired on Central News (HRT Dnevnik) reporting on the MARBLE project partner AgriFood Croatia that had been testing the tracking system of the sea bream in the Šibenik Channel.
The seabream is a primary predator of mussels cultivated at mussel farms. The experiment sought to evaluate a technology for monitoring seabream movements within a mussel farm, utilizing acoustic transmitters attached to the fish and corresponding receivers. This technology was designed to facilitate long-term behavioral studies of seabream, enabling researchers to effectively detect the presence of seabream using the acoustic tracking system.
