Our Head of Research Barbara Arbanas Ferreira was invited to present at the MIR Symposium 2026, held on 16–17 June at the University of Toulon, France. The annual symposium of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s programme in Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics (MIR) brought together researchers, industry representatives, students, and academic partners to discuss the latest advances in marine robotics, artificial intelligence, and autonomous systems.
Barbara delivered a keynote lecture entitled “Towards Mission Autonomy in Multi-Domain Heterogeneous Robot Teams“, showcasing recent research on autonomous maritime robotic systems and multi-robot coordination. The symposium provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with leading researchers and strengthen collaboration within the European marine robotics community.
