From April 27-30, 2026, our ERI and Research Department visited IQUA Robotics in Girona, Spain, to participate in SPARUS II AUV operation training.
SPARUS II is a highly autonomous modular robot with high performances and wide range of sensing equipment. The training encompassed mechanical, electrical and software aspects of the robot with detailed theoretical lectures, practical sessions such as disassembling and assembling of the robot itself, accompanied with the realistic mission operation at the sea.
Once again, a big thank you to the entire IQUA team for their hospitality and comprehensive training, and looking forward to the first missions of SPARUS II in the Adriatic at MARBLE’s pilot sites in Šibenik!
