Representing the global collaborative spirit of modern marine research, our Head of Infrastructure Nadir Kapetanović presented the pioneering work of the MARBLE at the prestigious WIO FUTURES 2026 conference on May 18, 2026 in Mauritius.
The conference gathered public and private sector actors, civil society, and academics under the theme “Building of a Resilient Ocean Economy through Science, Policy, and Community” to shape the future of the Western Indian Ocean region.
WIO FUTURES 2026 was organized with the support of the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society, the Indian Ocean Rim Association, the Odysseo Foundation, the Australian High Commission, and Mauritius.
