The ARTEMIS project officially kicked off with a consortium meeting held at MARBLE headquarters on Monday, April 20, 2026 bringing together all project partners to align on objectives, roles, and initial activities. The meeting focused on refining the system concept, confirming the work plan, and establishing coordination mechanisms across technical areas.
ARTEMIS focuses on developing a green, autonomous multi-robot system for continuous monitoring and protection of natural and coastal areas. The system combines unmanned surface, ground, and aerial vehicles into a coordinated platform capable of long-term surveillance, hazard detection, and environmental intervention. By integrating advanced perception, communication, and energy-efficient technologies, ARTEMIS enables persistent, large-area coverage and supports the transition toward autonomous, data-driven environmental management.
The project brings together a strong consortium, coordinated by the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), with academic and industrial partners: Centre of Excellence MARBLE, University of Rijeka Faculty of Maritime Studies, ISKRA Shipyard, Visage Technologies, and DOK-ING.
The kickoff marked the start of a collaborative effort toward building an integrated system that will be validated in real-world conditions across land and maritime environments. The consortium brings together a great mix of expertise, making it a strong team to take the project forward.
